Sheridan County Emergency Management Agency takes a proactive role in potential disasters and emergencies, either natural or manmade, for the purposes of “Preparedness, Response, Recovery, Mitigation and Protection” of Sheridan County and its citizens. The goal is to lessen the effects of a disaster on the lives and property of Sheridan County through leadership, coordination, and support.

Preparedness is everyone’s responsibility and must be done early. Everyone should be two weeks ready, meaning you and your family should have a plan and kit to be self-sufficient for up to two weeks if a major disaster strikes. Wyoming Ready is an app you can use to prepare and to learn more.
