The Sheridan County Treasurer’s office is responsible for fiscal management of the county. One of the primary roles of the Treasurer’s office is to receive payment for taxes, filing or other processing fees, such as property taxes or automobile registration and title fees.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collect sales tax and issue motor vehicle registrations
- Issue license plates and temporary permits
- Conduct annual delinquent property tax sale
- Work with escrow agents on property tax payments
- Distribute funds collected by the county
- Issue mobile machinery stickers
- Mail tax notices
- Work with property tax relief program
- Provide exceptional customer service
